Every tractor trailer driver in America has a commercial driver’s license, and each one of them are obligated to drive their huge truck and trailer safely.
When they fail to do so, very serious accidents can occur that lead to massive personal injury or even death. Our tractor trailer attorneys often handle these types of deadly truck accidents. Recently, we had a client who was a truck driver and he stopped to check the safety of his trailer and load.
He was parked legally on the shoulder, but the truck was side swiped by another truck, and our client was killed at the scene. Our truck crash attorneys have extensive experience in truck crashes leading to death, and we were able to get the trucking company to award our client’s family more than $2.25 million in damages in a wrongful death suit.
This case was complicated by the fact that the negligent truck driver died himself from an unrelated illness before we were able to get the case to settle. But with our attorney’s experience, we were able to get the case to a successful conclusion so that the truck driver’s widow was able to get benefits so that she could start to rebuild her life.
